It’s a pair of beautiful, big, bright blue propulsion motors.
RV Investigator has two huge electric propulsion motors that drive two propellers, which can propel the ship to a top speed of 15 knots.
You can imagine the excitement at the shipyard when the boxes were opened and the motors lifted into place.
Maybe better than Christmas for the CSIRO Team in Singapore!
